Tea Party Hits Jackson
A week ago, CNBC reporter Rick Santelli started quite a chain reaction with this call to arms in opposition of Obama’s bailout spending, saying among other things that the new president was rewarding bad behavior. Santelli called for a new tea party as a sign of objection to the spending, and that idea caught on with conservative bloggers such as Michelle Malkin and Free Republic.
Bloggers organized local protests throughout the country, including one in Jackson on Friday. One Mississippi blogger was there, and got a chance to take a number of great pictures. I have posted a picture below, but encourage you to check out her blog to see all the great photos.
