Majority Is Celebrating Earth Day

I remember when I was younger I thought Earth Day was pretty cool. However, Earth Day and the “green” movement in general have been hijacked by environmental extremists. But, that doesn’t stop me from celebrating Earth Day 2009.

First, I got up and took a 30 minute shower. I pay one flat fee for water at my apartment, so what better way to start the day then just sit under the hot water for no apparent reason.

Of course I let the water run for five to ten minutes before I got in as I was at the sink brushing my teeth. Because who would want to get into a cold shower?

I then got in my pickup truck and headed to work…

At work, I turned all my lights on as soon as I got in. And they are the old fashion lights, no those fancy CFLs. However, the lights were starting to make me hot so I had to cut the AC down real low.

I then proceeded to get my morning coffee. To keep it warm, I used a Styrofoam cup. And this was that real coffee from the rain forest.

After working on my laptop with one of these old fashion batteries where I will need to replace the battery within a year or two, I then got back in my truck and headed out for lunch.

I decided to go to the buffet, and get my money’s worth. I skipped the organic section, and headed straight for the meat. And each time I went back for seconds I needed to use a different tray, because who likes a dirty tray?

After lunch, I drank a lot of water for some reason. I actually had about three bottles, using a different bottle each time, because who likes a used bottle for my new fresh water?

We have church tonight, and while we usually take my wife’s Honda Civic, I think we will take my truck this time- just to celebrate Earth Day.
