When Will Barbour Make His First Stop In Iowa?
More so than probably any Republican in the country, Haley Barbour has seen his stock rise in the past couple of months. Less than a week ago, a group of GOP insiders gave only Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal higher remarks on which governor has the brightest future (but at 21-20 it was a pretty close vote).
And today, Barbour appeared in virtually ever DC area news magazine, talking about Obama, the GOP’s future, and Barbour’s own future (linked below).
There has always been some chatter about Barbour seeking higher office, but I am more convinced now then at any point in the past that he has future ambitions. Barbour likes to say that Obama can “charm the skin off a snake,” but I would say the governor can handle himself just fine.
