Democrat Party Spokesman Emeritus Compares Barbour with Ross Barnett
What is the number one strategy put forward by the Democrats as they try to regain their footing in a state they once dominated? First, blame the other side and take no responsibility. I have written about that in a couple other posts (links below) so don’t need to rehash that too much.
It has been the attack by both Democrat leaders and liberal bloggers. And today, Bill Minor, Democrat Party Spokesman Emeritus, took the time to stake his territory on that talking point in his column yearning for the days when Democrats held power in the state and baffled at this whole two-party system that is unheard of in dictatorships and the world of the Democrat Party Spokesman Emeritus.
This “blame Republicans” theme is a bit of a new strategy by Democrats. In the past, they have relied on the race card. So, what does the Democrat Party Spokesman Emeritus do? Why, he ties them both into one column.
The Democrat Party Spokesman Emeritus proceeds to compare Haley Barbour to Ross Barnett, the 1960s governor most known for his opposition to integration and role he played in igniting a riot at Ole Miss. Barbour and Barnett in the same sentence; and I don’t think the Democrat Party Spokesman Emeritus picked the infamous former governor by accident.
Blame Republicans…check. Race card…check.
