Friday Ramblings With Robert
Welcome to another Friday morning and the close of another work week here in Mississippi.
We Have Arrived
Majority in Mississippi has officially gotten under the skin of Sam Hall and the MS Democrats. In just one day this week Mr. Hall referred to my esteemed colleague, Brett, as “dumber” and used the cover of the state Democrats blog to also call him a “race-baiter.” This must mean we are doing something right and getting the right folks attention and that is satisfying to know. I applaud Mr. Hall’s efforts to stoke some sort of fire under his party’s base because we all know they could use it, but hopefully it will continue to result in failure and an eroding representational majority in Jackson. Mr. Hall should study this page on his own party’s website and deeply ponder what has happened to the power his party once had on a statewide level in this state. Good luck Mr. Hall, it’s a hell of a tall task ahead of you.
Nunnelee Creeps Toward Announcement
Alan Nunnelee continues to try to hide the worst kept secret in politics in Mississippi. It is inherently obvious that the stage has been set for him to announce his candidacy for MS-01 and I figure sooner or later Alan will feel that the timing is right. I guess I can understand him wanting to get the budget mess in Jackson off his plate, but at some point he has to throw his hat in the ring and reveal what we have all expected for months.
Frog Legs Anyone?
Brett asked so here you go:
Fried Frog Legs (It’s Mississippi of course you have to fry them)
Ingredients:
- 2 to 2 1/2 pounds small frog legs
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- crushed ice
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 eggs, separated
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- salt and pepper
- dash cayenne pepper, optional
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- vegetable oil for deep frying
Preparation:
Wash frog legs thoroughly. Place in a large bowl; sprinkle with lemon juice, and cover with crushed ice. Refrigerate 1 to 3 hours. In a small bowl, whisk together milk, egg yolks, and 2 teaspoons oil. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into milk and egg yolk mixture. Sprinkle frog legs with salt and pepper, and a little cayenne, if using; dip each in milk-egg mixture, then dredge in flour. Heat vegetable oil in a deep-fryer or skillet to 375°. Fry frog legs until golden brown. With a slotted spoon, transfer to paper towels to drain.
Serves 4 to 6.
Friday Funny
Came across this picture today and thought it was quite amusing. President Barack Obama apparently does not only have eyes for his wife Michelle. In this picture you can see the Messiah World’s President checking out the butt of a female Brazilian Delegate at the G8 Summit in Italy. By the way that butt belongs to a 16 year old.

Editor’s Note:
Friday Ramblings with Robert will be on hiatus for the next two weeks.
The thing that I find ironic/ funny about him refering to yall as race baiters is that right before or after that post he quotes Bill Minor. Please name a bigger race baiter than Bill Minor….
Bennie Thompson, maybe, but Minor is just inexcusable….Keep idolozing Minor and your party will keep winning as good as they have been.
