To Travis Childers: Remember What Hillary Clinton Said?

August 10, 2009

Here is a clip of a speech Hillary Clinton gave several years ago during the Bush Administration:

Here is the transcript:

“I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you’re not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration.”

Yet, now here is what Childers is saying about dissent:

What I’m not interested in, and what I don’t appreciate, is when the other party is busing people to try to be disruptive. That’s what’s unnecessary. We’re trying to help the situation.

Update: Sid Salter has added his own two cents into the tactic adopted by the left which is to call protestors mobsters or un-American. He brings up the double standard, as the left is notorious for all kinds of protests- especially violent- going back into the 1960s. Further, what do you think a community organizer does?

Update 2: The Mississippi Democrats want you to check out Obama’s healthcare “reality check.” The president wants you to realize that people out there who are forwarding videos of the president himself talking about his desire to use a government-option to destroy private insurance are just spreading lies.

Didn’t you hear- dissent is only patriotic when it is liberals protesting Pres. Bush. Obama knows whats right for all of us, so there is now no longer any need to question the president/ Messiah.

I just try to ignore all the political speak. These people speak so much that they contradict themselves all the time. Action is what counts. The bottom line to me is that the Democratic party is trying to pass meaningful legislation that helps out the American people and not the corporations. I never noticed how many good people have don’t have any health insurance until everyone started talking about it.. My barber, the guy who did a great job painting my house, the local quick lube where I get my oil changed, all good people who work hard.

What are you thinking?
