Move Along…Nothing To See Here
Earlier this month, controversy ensued when the Department of Education released notes to go along with the president’s address to school children that asked students to think about- among other things- ways to help Pres. Obama. The White House noticed the problem, erased the controversial parts of the plan, and the president delivered a traditional work hard, stay in school speech.
After this, Obama supporters went on the attack. Both the Mississippi Democrat Party and the chief spokesperson for the Democrats in the media- David Hampton- wrote how absurd it was that anyone would not want there kids to hear the president. As I mentioned, it would be interesting to see what they thought of the investigations Democrats led when George H. W. Bush spoke to school children in 1991. But we will never find out.
However, we have now seen why parents may have concerns about what there children are being taught. As Robert mentioned yesterday, a chilling video has been released showing a teacher leading students in a song praising Obama.
But what may be even more chilling is the reaction from school officials. They have essentially said ‘so what?’ Of course, this is coming from the party of separation of church and state who says we can not mention God’s name anywhere in school.
Exit God, Enter Obama.

The principal of the New Jersey elementary school embroiled in the controversy is an avid Obama supporter. In a full-page yearbook spread, Dr. Denise King featured pictures of her trip to the president’s inauguration and campaign slogans. Obama-themed events were regular occurrences at the government-run institution.
With all of this in the open, one has to ask where in ACLU? And what do the Mississippi Democrats and David Hampton now think about public school indoctrination?
The sad thing is that this is happening in many schools across the country.
