They endorse a study on school consolidation in Mississippi. This study has been added to the job description of a special legislative task force on underperforming schools.

Interesting fact: In the early 1950s, Mississippi had more than 2,000 school districts. As you can imagine, this had a lot to do with school segregation. Many black school districts had no buildings, classrooms, teachers, or students.
