Pelosi To Shield Vulnerable Members From Controversial Votes In 2010
The 2009 session in the House read like a wish list of liberal priorities which included massive government spending, cap-and-trade legislation and a healthcare reform bill. While this may please the Democratic leadership and their base, it may also jeopardize the careers of moderate Democrats from traditional GOP districts.
Further, many of these votes may have essentially been pointless as they get stalled in the Senate where they move at a slower pace and it is much harder to pass legislation. That has caused Nancy Pelosi to take a different approach in the 2010 election year.
According to The Hill, Pelosi has assured freshman lawmakers that the House will not move on controversial legislation until the Senate passes a bill. This includes immigration reform, the Employee Free Choice Act, and a ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ repeal.
One of the members Pelosi is trying to protect is Rep. Travis Childers. The non-partisan Rothenberg Report currently calls his seat a toss-up.

Now old Travis can run back and hide behind San Fran Nans skirt. If he voted on the issues the way I want I would still be reluctant to vote for him because he is affraid of those he represents. Get a set! Vote Nunnelee!! Send the Chicken back to Booneville.
