MS-03: Harper To Make Re-election Announcement on Jan. 4th

In a bit of a ceremonious move, Rep. Gregg Harper will announce his plans to seek a second term from the Third District on Monday. The announcement will take place at 2 p.m. at the Mississippi Republican Party headquarters.
Harper ran a grassroots campaign two years ago as he weaved his way through a very competitive GOP primary, and easily won his first election later that year. Harper is the odds-on favorite to win a second term in the very Republican district. CQ Politics rates this seat as ‘Safe Republican.’
