MS-01: McGlowan To Make Announcement In February
January 19, 2010
Fox News analyst and conservative author Angela McGlowan told an audience in Tupelo today that she will announce her intentions on whether she is running for the First District seat currently held by Rep. Travis Childers in February, according to the Daily Journal.
The only Republican candidate to qualify so far is state Sen. Alan Nunnelee. Henry Ross, the former Eupora mayor, has said he will run but nothing is official as of right now. The deadline to qualify is March 1.
McGlowan’s contact with Fox expires in February.

Heard today from a friend in Desoto County that another candidate, in addition to Les Green, will be entering the race on a 3rd Party ticket — very conservative, not Constitution or Libertarian. The candidate is from Desoto County & has run for the legislature before. I cannot share the candidate’s name until they announce, but the person who told me was the candidate’s campaign manager for the legislative race.
They will make it very interesting
The more candidates running for MS01, the greater the odds of Childers keeping his seat. This is not the time for a candidate stampede, maybe in 2 years.
Agreed. A competitive GOP primary and reasonable, conservative 3rd party candidates plays well for Childers.
I know that is what I want a D.C. socialite to rep me.
