McGlowan: The More The Merrier In The GOP Primary
In a write-up in the Oxford Eagle, Angela McGlowan reiterated that she currently cannot officially declare her candidacy for the First District as she is currently under contract with FoxNews. She said she will make a formal announcement of her intentions in February.
If McGlowan was not going to run, I find it very odd that she would be doing these interviews or waiting until February to make her intentions known. After all, I assume you can say you are not going to be a candidate while under contract. Yesterday, I gave her a 75 percent chance of entering the race. It seems like that might be a conservative estimate.
McGlowan said if she decides not to run, she will support whoever the Republican nominee is. However, when talking about a GOP primary, she said: “The more the merrier.” I don’t know if she was ever questioned on this, but there was no reference as to whether she would agree to Reagan’s Eleventh Commandment to not criticize fellow Republicans.
The qualifying deadline is March 1 and the primary is June 1.

With all the hype I see going on I will bet that McGlowan is in the race before the second week in February. Ross will be in it before her. Your 75% could be low.
Don’t forget that the California GOP Chairman who actually authored “Reagan’s 11th Commandment” was using it as a tool to stop fellow Republicans from calling him an “extremist” and “unfit for office”. As long as candidates stick to issues and the differences between the candidates no one should complain, unless they are trying to cover up for their own candidate’s deficiencies.
