Barbour Won’t Rule Out 2012 Run
It’s funny how the Haley Barbour in 2012 stories sort of pop-up in cycles, and then go flat for several months, only to come back again. Last summer, speculation began when he made trips to Iowa and New Hampshire. A recent announcement of a trip to South Carolina seems to have rekindled the stories. Coupled with the fact that there is no solid GOP frontrunner, along with Barbour’s unwillingness to absolutely say he’s not running- and we have a story.
Barbour continued to reiterate what he has always said- he is working on helping Republicans in 2010. As you may remember, Barbour is currently the head of the Republican Governors Association- so it naturally makes sense that he would be out there raising money and supporting the candidates. And when it comes to raising money, few people are better at it. The RGA banked $30 million last year, and has already raised $13 million in 2010.
And when Barbour was asked straight up if he hadn’t ruled out a 2012 run, he answered with: “I think you’re right.”
Clearly the rumors are not going anywhere.
Barbour doesn’t have a chance.
He lets convicted murderers who kill their girlfriend/wife go free.
I wish he would run though!! I would love to see his opponents ads calling him out on that issue.
