Ross Clarifies Reasoning Behind Momentum
I received an email from the Henry Ross camp yesterday in an effort to clarify some of what was reported in the Commercial Appeal and then here on the blog with respect to their momentum claims. Hunter Lipscomb, Ross’ campaign manager, said that they simply told the CA that they prefer not to disclose the source behind the “credible reason to believe that the election is neck and neck.” He said it was more than “blissful optimism,” reiterating that things are “surging well” for the campaign is morale is very high.
Nunnelee notes signing of abortion opt-out. The Alan Nunnelee camp sent out a press release yesterday the day after Haley Barbour signed SB 3214 into law which allows the state to opt out of abortion funding under the new healthcare exchanges. Nunnelee introduced the bill in the Senate and received praise from Terri Herring of PLAN for Mississippi who said he “took the lead in the state Senate and is a long time friend of pro-life efforts.” Nunnelee added, “I’m proud to have played a role in making Mississippi is the safest place for unborn children and I will continue to fight on their behalf.”
McGlowan on Laura Ingraham show. Angela McGlowan took her case to one of the most popular conservative talk shows in the country yesterday with an appearance on the Laura Ingraham show. Archives are available on her website but you need to be a paying member to listen in.

You know the reasoning behind this Ross push is literally centuries old I believe it was one Sun Tzu that wrote a book entitled “The Art of War” in it he said that one must give the appearance of being strong even though they are weak. What is really interesting is one of the ways Sun Tzu said that one can appear strong is to make lots of noise. That is all I have heard from the Ross folk recently NOISE. I just hope they are prepared to change out there Ross signs with Nunnelee signs. That is if they are really conservatives and not Travis Troopers as I suspect.
Hunter is Ross’ campaign mgr or coordinator whatever you wanna call it. I have communicated with him many times. Jeppie is more like a consultant I would say.

If you listen to McGlowan’s opening speech when she held up the flier she said that her opponent’s supporters did this. She implied both candidates.
Also I heard her on a radio station out of Memphis last week, say that “her opponents supporters” and added “that both of her opponents are white males” made the fliers and distributed them.
It was stated that both candidates supporters were responsible and it was implied that both candidates may have known.
On another note, maybe one of the following ideas are reason for the Ross camps excitement: They are counting on there really dirty politics i.e. nasty automated calls about opponents, making racist fliers, who knows what might be next to win them enough votes to get Mr. Nunnelee into a runoff which would ensure victory for there true candidate Mr. Childers. The nasty “Ross supporters” know that Ross can apologize and fire all he wants but he can’t un-ring the bell.

The only other logical explanation for “Ross supporters” to act this way is because they are so tired of loosing elections that they will do anything to try and win this one. Even if it means lying, double talking, and spreading propaganda.
For instance I noticed that TPLII is now attacking Nunnelee because he voted to cut some funds to the B&G of America. This is the same person who was complaining that he raised taxes on tobacco. What the heck do you think it takes to balance the budget? You either cut spending or you raise taxes. TPLII has criticized Nunnelee for doing both. Mr. Ross says he ants to freeze ALL federal spending. I guess that TPLII does not realize that, that move would cut some well meaning programs funding OFF!
This goes to show how little SOME “Ross folk”or “Travis Troopers” know about government. I, along with Mr. Franklin, believe that if you are going to raise taxes you should raise them through user taxes. In other words tax the tobacco users because they obviously have money to waist because tobacco is a luxury item.

There *is* in fact information out there showing this race is a lot closer than Nunnelee supporters are afraid to admit to. Nunnelee’s campaign staff is well-aware of the status of this race and it is only a matter of time before Ross’s people release this data.
If the June 1st primary goes to a run-off, I believe the Senate seat is his for the taking.
The only advantage Nunnelee has EVER had on Ross is name recognition; however, the longer the campaign lasts, the less of a factor that issue plays.
Not only will McGlowan and her supporters back Ross in a run-off, Ross will also steal more Nunnelee supporters as the race goes on.
The question then becomes: can Henry Ross beat Travis Childers, the incumbent?
Two things help Henry here: the anti-incumbency movement sweeping America will cause borderline voters to vote against the career politician. Moreover, the incumbent is a Democrat (admittingly, a semi-conservative one) in a conservative district. The election for Ross gets easier after June 1st, not the other way around.
It is not a Senate race. Obviously you are new to this site, you are also new to politics. Cochran and Wicker are our Senators. Nunnelee and the others are running for representative. More on that mysterious polling data.

To bring you up to date Grizz, I was at a debate and one of the young men that was there came up to my friend and me and said that they were excited because there was some polling data that came out that showed Nunnelee loosing points, McGlowan loosing points and Ross gaining. I asked where they got the data and they said that it was from some Polling that was done by Childers to see who he would be running against. He said that the Repubs got it and gave out to all the candidates. The guy had some sheets of paper in his hand and he gave them to my friend because I am partially blind and the printing was small. My friend looked at them and said that was what it showed. I assumed the young man was a Ross supporter or worker because why would he be saying that otherwise. It clicked with me because of a post Brett made earlier. I put it on here and was accused of lying.

I know of the one that was passed out at the gun show in S’haven, and it was not racist in any way, shape or form. If there’s a second flier that IS racist, where was it circulated and what does it say?
No one knows because there is no second flyer!!!!! Its a wonderful pr stunt used for sympathy vote… A rather good one I might add

I don’t know about the validity of the fliers, but I think one has nothing to do with McGlowan, it stated that Ross was endorsed by the Tea Party . That might hack McGlowan off more than the altered face flier.
you are correct,1 was a ross SUPPORTER stunt to gain elector favor–
the 1 she produced in tupelo REALLY angered her,and took from her some professionalism the rest of the evening-
i know of two ( 2 ) fliers ( flyers ) one was passed out at a tea party said tea party endorsed henry–a clear lie– i could be mistaken but i think it was rik the state director of resistnet who confirmed to me–
2nd flier (sic) was shown @ tupelo debate and she had one in her hand,passed it to me no problem,and several others to look at AFTER debate was over–
it clearly had a bad altered likeness of her with much darker skin,skraggly nappy hair,wider flat nose,and big lips–clearly racist in nature–who printed it / made it?? i do not know–i wasn’t there when it was made–2 names were definately named by her & her bodyguard– i know of both folks but not personaly know them–
one tho,i do know personaly came within a hair of physicaly assaulting her at hernando tea party,there is a photo of it,and i THINK some on video too–
man was clearly angry,shaking a clipboard rt in her face and yelling in her face
her bodygaurd was called to by her and he came between them–that man who did that was frank walker,a ross supporter whom i saw at a later date report to hunter at ross tent in tupelo–at tea party express bus day
there can be no denial of the hernando assault event as like i said,there is video and a photo snapped by rik brooks of resistnet that i saw –i will be glad when this mess is over,as it has brought no.ms. into the dirtiest political year ever in USA history

I think Grizz that the candidates for the most part have remained above the dirty politics. Some of the supporters have gone overboard.
