Knox Ross Is In SD20 Race

Pelahatachie Mayor Knox Ross has formally announced his candidacy for the soon-to-be open District 20 Senate seat. The seat is currently occupied by Lee Yancey, but he has opted to run for state treasurer.

This seat is one of the most Republican in the state. In 2007, Lee Yancey won a four-way GOP primary to claim the seat that was left open by Charlie Ross as he decided to run for lieutenant governor. I would again expect a very competitive Republican primary again for a district where virtually every elected official is a Republican.
