Monday Evening Treasurer’s Race Notes

A couple notes on the 2011 Treasurer’s race; which is looking like it will be an all-GOP affair:

** The big news is that Lucien Smith will formally announce his candidacy tomorrow. He will do so at Brent’s Drugs in Jackson at 11:30. Smith is the last anticipated candidate to enter the race (and really the last anticipated statewide candidate period), and we now officially have a three person field. And as we previously noted, Smith has a March 1 fundraiser lined up.

** Lee Yancey, who has had his campaign site up for some time, looks like they have recently revamped it. Check it out here.
