Hosemann Will Run For Re-election
February 24, 2011

Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann announced earlier today that he will be running for re-election this fall. But the truth is he doesn’t have to do much running- Hosemann has yet to draw an opponent in either the primary or general election and it’s tough to picture one getting in at this point; at least one who could pose any sort of threat to the one-term incumbent.
So Hosemann basically has $500,000 in the bank to do with as he pleases. You would imagine he may bank the money for future runs for possibly a different office, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him helping out fellow Republicans from top to bottom as well.

He could use that money to help out legislative candidates, building good will for legislation and possible future campaigns, all while helping elect conservatives to the legislature.
