Alan Nunnelee Endorses Phil Bryant
The Phil Bryant campaign recently sent out an email with an endorsement from Rep. Alan Nunnelee. Here is the text of the endorsement:
“I first met Phil Bryant in 1995, when I was on the Senate Insurance Committee and he was Vice Chairman of the same committee in the House of Representatives. We formed a professional relationship and a friendship that has lasted over 16 years. From the first day we met, I have known him to be an effective advocate for the conservative cause.
When our previous State Auditor resigned under a cloud of suspicion, Governor Kirk Fordice needed to appoint a person of the highest integrity to fill that job. He turned to Phil Bryant.
During the ‘lean years’ for the GOP, from 2000-2004, we only had one Republican statewide office holder out of eight. That lone Republican was Phil Bryant. He held high the conservative banner until reinforcements would arrive.
As Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I have stood with Phil through three very difficult budgeting sessions of the Legislature and when it came time to make the tough calls, he never wavered. But the primary reason I support Phil Bryant is because of the character of the man. While no one can predict the specific issues and decisions that will confront our next governor, with Phil Bryant making those decisions, I am confident our state is in good hands.”
Now heres a good reason to vote for Dave Dennis–I bet Dave Doesn’t vote WITH pelosi & the dems.
What is conservative about No-bid contracts that cost the taxpayers money? What’s conservative about lobbyist and special interests dominating your contributions?
What’s conservative about trying to scare the voters with comments about the “Governor can’t have on the job Training”, when Gov. Fordice and Gov. Barbour both had ” on the job training” as neither was a politician. When a career politician endorses another career politician, that is reason enough not to vote for Phil.
Just so everyone Knows Phil, was also endorsed by Trent Lott. You guys know Trent, the career politician who was involved in a Judicial Bribery incident. Then HE tried to send 40 billion dollars and thousands of Jobs to France as a Lobbyist For EADS.
I’m OK without these Kinds of endorsements.
Why would an endorcement from Nunnelee be a surprise to anyone. I hope that Phil Bryant continues to get his friends to come out for him. It shows that he is calling in all his debts ( a serious sign of panic ). Bryant endorced Nunnelee for his Congressional Seat before Nunnelee ever declared he was running. Being the good republican party leader that Bryant is supposed to be he fixed that race before it ever began. I agree with Ron and Grizz – that is a pathetic move.
Incidently Bryant is riding around with one of the republican candidates for Public Utilities Commission Boyce Adams. More payback here – lots of money for Bryant’s campaign coming from Adams family – now and in the past.
These are really the kind of leaders we need in Mississippi – NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
It looks like the Dennis and Williams crowds are on edge about this. They should be.
It’s a solid endorsement that will have a strong effect on the voters in north MS.
Having been in the construction business for many years, I’ve dealt with Dave Dennis as a sub contractor more times than I care to remember. That’s why I’m voting for Phil Bryant.
maybe he was upset you were using illegals as employees and using substandard chinese construction materials??
Grizz,
Click on David – he is with the Lee County Republicans. Does that clarify his comment for you? He is probably upset that you are not happy with Nunnelee.
yea i figured, those big party old timers stuck in their ways are what got us in this mess–lets see now,how many times so far has nunnelee voted WITH pelosi and the dems, resserecting obama and his obamacare? 2–3??–traitor-
I would like to know what his position is regarding raising state taxes? Is he still in favor of keeping Social Security, private pensions, and IRA money non taxable for senior citizens? We are 2 senior voters and new to the state of MS. We lived abroad for many years.
