Hosemann and Dennis Tout Endorsements
Dave Dennis and Delbert Hosemann received endorsements from the Gulf Coast 912 Project earlier this week, and sent out press releases touting their backing.
Dennis: “I am honored to receive the endorsement of this conservative Mississippi group dedicated to lower taxes and limited government. They recognize our state will be best served by someone with private sector experience and business leadership rather than insider politicians.”
Hosemann: “This endorsement is important not because my opponent resides on the Coast, but because this organization holds the same values and beliefs as my campaign. They are fervent believers in state’s rights, a balanced budget, and protecting our Constitution. I fought to protect our State’s right to follow the Constitution in redistricting without federal intervention. I appreciate the Mississippi Gulf Coast 9-12 Project for standing by me in that case, and I thank them for their endorsement.”
As was noted earlier this week in this blog, Yancey was also endorsed by this group in the Treasurer’s race. This endorsement from an important group of conservative activists on the coast (coupled with Yancey’s strong ties to Jackson County) will make it that much harder for Fitch and Smith to gain enough votes to offset the significant advantage Yancey will have in Rankin County.
Rankin,
I have not seen anything from Yancy in my part of the state, but see Fitch and Smith stuff all over. What gives?
Dawg, what is your part of the state?
Everywhere I go, I seem to see Yancey signs..
I travel a pretty good bit and i haven’t seen anybody have a presence that could compete with Yancey’s.
Northeast Mississippi… Not seen one sign….. Smith and Fitch (more Smith) are over the place…..
