Hey, These Kids Look Familiar

October 27, 2011

In a campaign ad, Dorsey Carson, Democratic candidate for HD 64, went to Jackson Public Schools to shoot some footage with kids as he talks education. Nothing really shocking or surprising there.

Here is a snapshot of Carson with one child, and you can easily see the JPS logo on the computer:

Waiting in the green room while Carson was working on his ad was Steven Kilgore, Democratic candidate for SD 18. At least Carson was in the right city. Kilgore is hoping to represent a district that is based around Philadelphia, a good hour and a half from Jackson. Perhaps Kilgore believes JPS is a good model for schools systems in Winston, Neshoba, and Leake counties. View his ad here.

Here is Kilgore with the same girl, same outfit, same shot:

They also included two other children in the ads- again same kids, same outfit:

I guess when every Democrat sends out the same templated email, it makes sense to use the same kids in your campaign ads.

It makes sense that JPS would be a welcomed place for Democrats to film. After all, the state of JPS is the direct result of their liberal policies in place in Jackson that they would love to enact statewide if they had the opportunity.

Here’s my question in the shots with 3 kids. Couldn’t help but notice that 2 of the 3 are white when we all know the school district is 95% black. If you were to go to JPS and say I need 3 kids, what are the chances 2 are white? Not very good.

Dorsey Carson Campaign tried to pay for my tea this morning at Broadstreet Bakery. I said no thank you, I don’t like my tea with trial lawyer…leaves a bad taste.

These are more examples of the pathetic depths to which the Democrats in Mississippi have sunk to retain a shred of relevance. I only hope that uninformed voters see through these deceptive tactics and send these two packing in November, along with a few others.

As a mother, I wonder if these candidates had parental permission to use these children in these photographes that have been put on TV commercials and mailouts all over the State. I wonder if these parents know the candidates and endorse their political positions. I would not let my child be in a commercial with any politician until I personally knew them. The Democratic Party have USED these children all over the state. The same children can been seen on WTVA in a commercial for Thomas McCarley. Another candidate letting the Democratic Party completely run this campaign. Just a puppet on a string!!!!
