As we begin to Start the campaign activities, the question has come up about accepting contributions. I don't know how I feel about that yet.

My first response is to not accept contributions, so as not to give the appearance of owing any special favors. But, I have also been tolld that by not accepting at least, small individual contributions, I am prohibiting other concerned citizens from taking action to help repair our Govt. I don't know.

Without contributions, I will not be able to mount a huge campaign. The Idea however, of trying to convince people ( root word CON ) to vote for me is not appealing.

I hope that ther are enough patriots in the 4th district who are willing to make the effort to seek out my candidacy, as a true step in the right direction for our Countrty.

I do not want to ever give the impression, that I have some motive or agend for running, that would cause me to beg or pander for support. As Im ahve said before, "people are either ready for a change from thye same old party politics, or not". If they are not, then spending a bunch of money on the campaign ( as I learned in the Governors' race ) is a waste.

I welcome any response or suggestions, either througth this site or at hsi.ronwilliams@yahoo.com .

The yard signs and bumper stickers will be here in a couple of days. Anybody who wants one, please just email and I'll get it to you.

I know this is a Republican site. Trust me when I tellm you that I hold traditional Republican values ( the Reagan / Jefferson type ) to be the cure for our country's woes. I am probably more of a Republican than most Republicans.

I am running as a Libertarian because, I feel that Washington Beltway, Republican leadership has for gotten that Republicans should always put Patriotism and Public Service ahead of personal gain.

We can put this Country back on the path to the Greatness and strebgth, that I grew up with. We can have an America that rewards personal drive and committment with succes withouit being dependent upon Govt. favoritism. We can put Govt. back into the control of the people and not the other way around.

One other thing. As a congressman I will work to establish a mechanism,by which citizens of this country will have a means of firing, Govt. employees who are derelict in thier Public service. Theren will be no more guarantee of continued employment or cushy benefits for poor performance. Being a civil servant is a priviledge not a right.

Did you guys hear about the ruling against the EPA, by SCOTUS. I applaud the ruling, and ask this. Who gets fired?

Obviously we have a case of arrogant and overzealous EPA employees who have cost taxpayers and these property owners, millions in legal fees and personal stress. Will their blatant abuse of authority be dealt with ? Or, will they be allowed to keep their jobs so as to again waste taxpayers dollars?

I don't believe that oil companies are making me suffer. My point is this. At some point oil will be in short supply. It may be 20 years from now. What right does our generation have to sell oil that belongs as much to future generations as it does us.? If we were meeting our national demand with 100% domestic production we would still have no justification for selling our childrens' natural resources.

We should sim[ply " take what we need and leave the rest."

US oil companies are selling our oil on the world market as fast as it can be produced. Our Government is standing in the way of them producing more - specifically Obama is standing in the way and the DOE is hostile to them doing more. While I am not a big Mitt fan he did get it right - we really need an alternative President, not alternative energy.

When US companies sell our products (oil) on the world market the money they make creates American Jobs, and that money gets spent in this American Economy.

Obama's policies of slow walking permits, the Keystone pipeline, and refusing to allow drilling and oil production are KILLING jobs Americans need. Period. His failed energy polices are not just enslaving us to OPEC, they are KILLING jobs and opportunity here in America.

I really can't say as I blame the oil companies for supporting primarily Republicans. Its no secret that the Democrats are hostile to carbon based energy. While their hatred of it previously stopped short of an all out war against it, Obama and his administration have taken this up a few notches to that point. If I was in a business sector and the government was actively trying to drive me out of business I would support the opposition too.

Obama wins the higher prices go on two basic fronts. First he gets to Punish the American People who don't believe in his Green Theology. Second he gets to raise taxes without passing it through congress. This removes more money out of the economy and puts at his disposal to spend as he wants.

Never forget the higher your gas price, the more taxes you pay and this ripples down the chain. Higher delivery costs raise the price of goods and there's another tax hike without any legislative approval. Has anyone bought groceries lately.

Ron, Oil companies are not making you suffer, this President and this Government's failed policies and arrogant ideologies are so they can accomplish their political agenda.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh...Ron please don't let the cat out of the bag that Obama can't control gas prices. It's free market. He needs to leave it alone. I'm for increasing production at home but don't expect that to lower prices...but it sure won't hurt them either btw. US oil is being sold on the world market as fast as it can be produced. Demand is increasing in other parts of the world as fast or faster than here in the US. Lower demand will lower prices and don't expect a significant lower demand any time soon.

I'm trying to figure something out. The Republican party is blaming President Obama for not controlling gas prices.

I'm not an Obama fan, but in all honesty, gas prices are being controlled by , oil companies, traders, and distributors. All of which are traditional supporters of the Republican party. All these people have to do is lower their price.

I hope that one segment of our economy isn't making the rest of us suffer just to accomplish their political agenda. There is nothing American or patriotic in that.

Have any of you heard the prediction, that as we become more productive and efficient in our oil fields, we ( the U.S. ) may actually become an exporter of oil?

No matter how efficient we become, we have no right to sell off any natural resources that rightly belong to future generations. I can envision no scenario, in which the U.S. should become an exporter of energy.

Remember, we only account for about 5% or less, of the worlds oil reserves and we consume almost 25%. Where do we have any to spare?

I'm a 61 year old retired Army fellow who has been rode hard and put away wet. As I think back on the political shananigans since the Kennedy era it is hard not to be cynical about those we elect and send to Washington.

We have so-called Conservatives, mostly in the Republican Party that have become mute in the face of obvious illegal and unconstitutional actions in the Capitol. Our current resident in the White House has so very many unanswered questions about his past hanging over his head that he should be investigated by Congress; yet there is no action.

We have so many avowed, card carrying members of the American Socialist Party in Congress that I have lost count at 70+. Socialism, for those that do not know, is the political ideology of the Nazi's and the Italians in WW2. It is also a failed ideology of many 3rd World Countries that are composed of the very wealthy and those suffering in abject poverty. The middle class is conspicuously abscent in Socialist countries.

Our politicians attempt to rewrite history as it pertains to our Constitution. The "Natural Born Citizen" mandate is a wonderfully current example. Anyone with a smidgen of education is at least competent to research what the Founders of this Nation discussed and thought regarding nearly every aspect of our Constitution. Yet, we seem to be a nation of illiterate citizens who follow political ideology blindly over the cliff, like lemmings to the sea. Most voters cannot think beyond one single letter; either (D) or (R).

Thanks for politely listening to the ranting of an old retired Army soldier.
