Why Doesn’t Mississippi Do The Same?

I have talked about those bright orange and green stimulus road signs littering highways and interstates throughout Mississippi and the country several times.

The state of Georgia has taken a positive step by ending a policy that required the taxpayer funded signs at the taxpayer funded worksite. Mississippi, on the other hand, seems to be going in the wrong direction. Haley Barbour’s name now graces the signs in the Magnolia State, in addition to the three Transportation Commissioners. As you can see from the picture I took on Highway 78 in April, his name was not on there.
