Going back to 1992 there had been a total of two citizen led initiatives that actually garnered enough signatures to make the ballot; in 2011 the state will double that number. In addition to the successful voter ID petition, the Secretary of State’s office has confirmed that the Personhood amendment has the signatures and will also be on the ballot.

In the AP article, a former NOW board member says they will oppose the measure by “working with a coalition of groups on community outreach.”
