Sarah Palin announced her latest round of endorsements on Facebook yesterday, and that group included Alan Nunnelee in the First District and Bill Marcy in the Second.

Here is what she said about Nunnelee: “Congress could use more leaders like Alan Nunnelee. Alan is a steady, conservative leader that Mississippi can depend on. His opponent stands with Nancy Pelosi and other national Democrats; Mississippi’s 1st Congressional District deserves a leader who will stand with them.”

Of interest, you may remember that Palin endorsed Angela McGlowan on the night of the June 1 primary via Twitter.

She said this about Marcy: “I had the privilege of meeting Bill Marcy at the Restoring Honor rally in August. Bill is tough – a former cop who walked a beat in Chicago – and he’s the got the values and judgment Congress needs. I’m proud to join so many others in supporting his campaign to represent Mississippi’s 2nd Congressional District.”

Here is a photo of Marcy and Palin at the event she mentions. I also wanted to point this out regarding the endorsement. In 2008, the McCain/ Palin ticket won just 34 percent of the vote in this district. To compare, Obama managed to win 38 percent of the vote in MS-01 so an argument can be made that Obama is more popular in the First than Palin is in the Second.

An argument could be made that Obama was (operative word was) more popular in the first district than Palin was (again was) in the second. I would say that you are really stetching for the negative on this one Brett.

We could not be prouder of Mr. Bill Marcy and his stellar principled character. He deserves the Tea Party, 912 Project’s support. He is a candidate that all of America can support because he represents the citizens, smaller Government, and will protect our Constitution. Sarah Palin selected the right Mississippi candidates to endorse and we are thankful to her and her PAC.

Ditto Band. I am with you all the way. It is amazing to me that witht he opportunity we have here to get rid of someone like Thompson that everyone who is a loyal constitution loving conservative is not jumping on the bandwagon and beating the drum for Bill Marcy. I guess if you aren’t Alan Nunnelee or Steve Pallazo you won’t get the promos on here unless you pay for them. Surprized Marcy was even allowed to put an ad up.

Does anyone really care who Palin supports? She’s a laughing stock and Nunnelee is not the candidate who will support the real constituency.
