In a Bobby Harrison article looking at the longstanding shift from Democrat to Republican in Mississippi, Sen. Hob Bryan (D-Amory) spoke on what he sees as one of the Democrats problems today. He specifically said that the Democrats don’t do enough to fight back against the liberal label:

“It concerns me the Democrats are doing a terrible job of letting people know what we believe. It distresses me that Democrats are allowing the other party to identify us in an inaccurate way.”

** Another issue with the party, this one offered by a prominent Democrat official, was the lack of support for candidates from the party: “When you are a Democrat in Mississippi you are an island to yourself. You do not get any help.”

Nice try, but the problem isn’t that the Democrats don’t do a good job of getting their message out there- it is the message itself that’s the problem.

Ha, we know what you believe. Your message is loud and clear. Your actions are identifying you, not the “other” party. Based on your actions you are “The US Communist Party”. Plain and simple.
