Senate Passes Freedom Of Choice In Healthcare Act

February 10, 2011

Today, the Senate passed SB 2852 known as the Freedom of Choice in Healthcare Act, which prohibits the state from requiring any individual to purchase healthcare coverage as mandated in the new federal healthcare legislation.

The bills passage is not so much a surprise, but the 46-5 margin is pretty impressive. Here is a copy of the roll call. The bill now heads to the House for consideration.
