Henry Ross 2012 Rumor

Former Congressional candidate Henry Ross was at Jacinto on Monday and he apparently hinted at another run against Alan Nunnelee, now the incumbent Congressman in the First District. I was told he was heavy on the criticism toward Nunnelee, who was also there, and was handing out fliers showing what he saw as Nunnelee’s liberal voting record.

In 2010, Ross just missed out on making a runoff against Nunnelee for the right to face then-Rep. Travis Childers in the general election. Ross took a few days to concede, but he never said he wasn’t going to support Nunnelee like Angela McGlowan did.

If the liar Angela McGlowan had kept her word not to endorse nunnelee, and to throw her weight behind Mr.Ross,we wouldn’t be having this conversation now,as Henry Ross would have beaten the RINO nunnelee who has continuously voted with pelosi and her dem cohorts to extend the spending.

Actually we still would, you do realize that McGlowan and Ross were both beaten in the primary, thus weren’t able to run after that. If McGlowan had kept her word not to endorse Nunnelee, then you would have more people voting for any of the non-republican candidates, not Henry Ross. I just want you to get that little information correct before you start commenting on how Nunnelee votes. If you cant get simple history down then how can we expect you to be an informed person at all. Since being in office he has voted consistently with the conservative Republicans, and has gotten stuff done. If you’re still upset that things haven’t been more conservative, have you thought about the fact that the bills still have to get through the Senate and President? Lets put it this way, would you rather have a some conservative change, or non at all?

if McGlowan, once she knew she couldn’t win, before primary voting day,had kept her promise made in front of several witnesses to NOT endorse nunnelee and throw all her weight behind ross,as she shook hands to do,as per the public photo that was made, henry would have won.nunnelee has voted WITH pelosi many times already. perhaps you should be informed on his voting record. and as far as the “conservative republicans” you say he has voted with, they are the old fuddy duddy big party big money folks-he abandoned the 54 new tea party congress men & women, the Tea Party folks he so coverted before primary wanting their endorsements.even after asking Tupelo Tea Party for theirs, which they declined, remaining neutral on endorsements–but you are hashing old news,i am referring to current events–his voting record–i challenge you to say he has NOT voted WITH pelosi since goiung to D.C.. Bachman was right,if they had held the line and said NO to budget extension, obamacare would have been defunded.we have no more time for RINOS helping ruin the USA right along with the liberal looneys.you may now go to your boss one term patrick and tell him bye for me.

I challenge you to say that the Tea Party Queen Michelle Bachman has NOT voted WITH Pelosi. Bachman has 22% similarity in voting with Pelosi, the same as Nunnelee. Come on, that argument is ridiculous. And I respectfully disagree with you on holding the line against Healthcare. I believe it would have backfired on the Republicans just like it did during the Clinton Administration, and Obama would easily walk into 4 more years of presidency. This is a chess game, not a pissing contest.

I heard Ross’s speech at Jacinto. He was dead on about Nunnelee and definitely took the gloves off. The crowd seemed to respond very positively to the speech and the guy next to me said he gave the Nunnelee the what for when he saw him that morning. I hope Ross will run again and it sure sounded like he was going to. I voted for him in the last election because I did not trust Nunnelee and I was right. I will vote for him again.

      @ Serious;
The nunnelee sheeple can scoff all they want, but there is NO denying nunnelee’s voting record in D.C.–CONSTANTLY against Tea party Values and siding WITH pelosi and the dems–shamefull–I will now refer to him as one term patrick.–no retirement check for him !!!

That’s because the TEA Party is filled with extremists, so it’s a good thing that he does not vote consistently with them. As far as Angela goes, why would she have endorsed Henry Ross before the election? She was running her own campaign. And if Ross, who is not as great as you think, could not have won on his own, then he doesn’t need to be in Congress. Simple facts.

hey thats what the British said too,the colonists are a bunch of extreemists–
thanks for the compliment–those extreemists ran them out too.
to run a campaign bashing pelosi and the dems, then run off and go vote WITH them is just——————————————nuts.

          Danny-

Funny how you liberals call the people that believe and live by the Constitution extremist. That puts you right in line with Karl Marx who said the same thing about the U.S. Constitution. When you call people that live and luv the Constitution extremist, you are calling the Constitution extreme. Here is my suggestion to you. Liberal Leave the land of the Free and home of the Brave. We have a Constitution and we like it.

Are you kidding… Ross has run 8 campaigns and lost 7. I guess he just can’t understand that the voters don’t trust him.

I have been watching all of your comments on here. Informed, you are not as informed as you think you are or you are taking information out of context on Bachman. The 20% you are talking about is actually 14.9% and the voting was on bills that were non-partisan so few against them on either side. Watching the voting records of our public officials is a real hobby of mine. Nunnelee on the other hand has done exactly what Mr. Grizz is stating. While Harper and Palazzo are voting much more conservatively, Nunnelee is following Ross (chairman of Appropriations)90% of the time with his votes and voting with the democrats 51% of the time. Recently he held a town hall meeting in our town and while watching him it occurred to me that the problem is that for so many years he got by because he was part the Mississippi’s Good Ole Boy network but now he actually has to think for himself. He is totally over his head. At the townhall meeting Nunnelee was unable to answer most questions and changed the format to him telling everyone what he wanted them to know. He avoided questions like the plague. Anyone who questioned him on his voting record requesting specifics on why he voted one way or the other were directed to the desk outside.
This is serious stuff folks – the future of our country is at stake. Stop fighting and start becoming informed.
As to Henry Ross losing elections – that in my mind makes him even more valuable as a candidate because in Mississippi you have to be part of the Elite Political connection to win. He obviously is not.

I think Nunnelee wins again in a huge landslide!

Since Palazzo is voting more conservative. The RINOS are pushing for a primary candidate to run against him. I imagine the RINOS have little to no chance in a Presidential election year. The wierd thing about a Presidential election year is that All conservatives (dems. repubs, & Indep.) are voting in the Republican primary.

Mississippi is way too small for Henry Ross. He should head on up to New Hampshire and start campaigning for president. He would have about as good a chance there as he does of beating Nunnelee. If I remember correctly, Ross donated $50,000 to his campaign last year. You would think after 7 losing campaigns, he would just give it up. I guess he will when he spends all his inheritance, which is what he lives on, since he has no other means of support.

mite as well gewt your facts straight,it wasn’t his inheritance $$,it was his wifes, and a campaign loan at that.he does not live on her inheritance,as he is a competant atty. in his own right.so you have no clue what he lives on,and your comments border on slander to the man, who,is a good christian conservative.must be a troll or a hacker in the house–look,i voted for nunnelee too in the main election, but, his voting record since speaks for itself, continously against cutting big govt, spending plus voting WITH pelosi. thats his bad,not mr. ross’s.

Grizz, I don’t know which more accurately reflects you lack of intelligence: your love of Henry Ross, or your spelling, punctuation, and use of grammar. I was mistaken, his campaign finance forms show that he donated approximately $26,000.00 to his campaign. People in Eupora tell me that Henry Ross has not practiced law there in several years. Since you are an expert on all things Henry Ross, please enlighten everyone as to how he supports himself if it isn’t by inherited wealth.

Seems you are the one who lacks intelligence–must be awefull jealous of Mr.Ross’ wealth, perhaps because he hasn’t spread it around & shared with you? ya told off on yourself ya liberal ninny.Name the People in Eupora that told you this– facts and names please.Methinks that since Mr.Ross was in the Navy Jag office under G.W. Bush in D.C.,he IS licensed in other districts besides Ms.but of course that never occured to you.Thank you for telling me I was in love with Mr.Ross,I didn’t know that until now.And thank you for your compliment that i am an expert on Mr.Ross also,as I never claimed that, you did.I can spell ParFactlee–and since you were able to read my post,it was good enough for your feeble brain. Now lets see,how much was it that nunnelee, and his family donated to HIS campaign? many, many thousands lol–Lastly,if Mr.Ross is / was able to support himself on inherited wealth, more power to him! lucky man–Some must have forgotten his own retirement pension as a retired Navy Commander.duh on you–go back to your boss one term Patrick and report–
