DuPree To Get $90K From DGA

September 19, 2011

In a profile in National Journal, Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Johnny DuPree said that he recently met with the Democratic Governors Association and the organization has pledged $90,000 to his cause. Cash is obviously going to be a major factor in the race, and DuPree is saying he needs to raise about $2 million for the general election and would like to go on the air in high frequency three weeks before the election.

There are a total of four governor’s races this year; most occur in the 2006, 2010, 2014, etc. election cycles. The races in Louisiana and Kentucky aren’t competitive with incumbents expected to win easily, so I don’t imagine much money will be invested in those states. Mississippi stands to be the most competitive of those three in all honesty. But in October, there is a special election in West Virginia to fill the remainder of now-Sen. Joe Manchin’s term. Acting Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin (D) is expected to win, but there has been talk that this race is narrowing with just a couple weeks to go. But this has a good chance of being the most competitive of the four.

No amount of money on TV ads can erase Dupree’s endorsement for Smart Growth/Adenda 21 which is a United Nations –OneWorld Order effort to erase private proverty ownership. It is a Progressive land-grab effort which is way, way under the radar but reflects a dangerous direction for Hattiesburg. Smarth Growth is another way to limit urban sprawl, which while it sounds good on the surface can destroy property values of nearby private property while controlling the use of property within a perscribed area. The whole effort is based on the UN premesis that property ownership is “socially unjust”. How many of Dupree supporters can tolerate this? This fact needs more light to shine upon Dupree and his true agenda….does he want to come after your property next?

I have spoken to Johnny about this. He is not as fully supportive as is represented. Johnny’s true agenda is for Honest Govt. and open debate about our States future. It is amazing that you would highlight the property ownership issues and not represent the fact that Phil did nothing to override haleys’ veto of eminent domain. So if Phil’s people take your property, it’s OK. But not Johnnys’ people. Really?

Look, here’s is how it is. Johnny will be severely limited by the other officials in our State. I don’t believe he wants to or would be able to progress any severe Liberal policies, through the system. But he will be able to block the current group of crooks who have a death grip on our State. Government Stealing from all taxpayers to support a few campaign contributors is the real issue here. Nothing else.

What are you thinking?
