Also, on Thursday, Simpson will have an event in Laurel featuring Stacey Pickering and Tate Reeves, two Republicans running without opposition this fall.

Wicker To Flip Coin At Ole Miss Game. This weekend, 186 colleges and 4,314 high schools will participate in a commemorative coin toss in honor of Ronald Reagan as part of the 2011 Reagan Centennial celebration. Co-chairs of the coin toss initiative are J.C. Watts, Lou Holtz, Doug Flutie, and Lynn Swann.

I have been told that Sen. Roger Wicker will flip the coin at Ole Miss on Saturday as the Rebels face off with Georgia at 11:21. Also, 58 high schools throughout Mississippi will be participating in this as well.

Adams opens campaign HQ in Columbus. Boyce Adams, the Republican candidate for Public Service Commissioner in the Northern District, officially opened his campaign headquarters in Columbus today. He was joined by former Public Service Commissioner Bo Robinson among others.

Adams said this at the opening: “We have a real opportunity in Mississippi to bring strong economic growth through common sense energy polices in our state. Last week, I joined Lt. Governor Phil Bryant on his Job Creators Tour, listening to people and sharing a vision for a better state. We have a real chance to encourage new businesses to open their doors in Mississippi and bring long-lasting jobs. Mississippi is poised to create a new energy economy, bringing jobs and growth to North Mississippi. But this can only happen if the Public Service Commissioner creates a regulatory environment for businesses to succeed which will in turn create more jobs for our citizens.”

Well, that makes my decision easy. I guess that repository of honest republican values, ( Bribe em all Trent ) will give his endorsement next.

    Go Jim Hood.
