Price, availability … Everything about Apple’s new product

AIR DAY. During its keynote conference on April 20, 2021, Apple presented a brand new product: AirTags. These little trackers make it easy to find objects that are misplaced frequently.

Summary

Although Cupertino is more used to expanding and modernizing its already existing ranges, Apple has just introduced brand new products: AirTags. These little objects, announced during the keynote conference on Tuesday April 20, 2021, didn’t really come as a surprise, as their existence had already been leaked several times in the past few years. AirTags are small trackers that can be personalized and help you find your lost items easily. Small summary of the information already known.

AirTags are available in two purchase options: individually and in packs of 4. You count around 35 euros for the purchase of an AirTag and 119 euros for the pack. They can be purchased on the official Apple website, in Apple Stores, and from several authorized resellers.

Several accessories are also planned, including a leather keychain for 39 euros, a leather strap for 45 euros and a polyurethane strap for 35 euros. These accessories can also be the result of collaborations between Apple and other major brands.

AirTags can be ordered from Friday, April 23rd at 2pm (French time). Their official release in stores and authorized resellers (whose prices may differ from the official price) is set for Friday, April 30th, 2021.

Apple and the luxury brand Hermès jointly offer handcrafted leather accessories. This set includes a bag accessory, a key ring, a travel tag and a luggage accessory with the image of the Hermès brand. This unique accessory is sold with a personalized AirTag that carries the image of the high-end brand.

The AirTags are powered by a battery built into the product. Apple has confirmed that the latter will have a life expectancy of just over a year. It can also be replaced entirely by hand without having to redeem a new AirTag or return yours to customer service.
