Jamie Franks: Mark DuVall Had Stood Up For California Values
Jamie Franks, who is hoping to move back into his old House seat, recently appeared on WRMG- a Red Bay, Alabama based station that also reaches into HD 19. Shortly before the qualifying deadline, Franks- the Democratic Party Chairman- entered the race even with incumbent Democrat Mark DuVall running for a second term.
In the interview, Franks goes into depth about why he wants his seat back and makes some pretty serious charges against DuVall (starting a little bit before the 13 minutes mark). In the span of just a minute or two, he hit DuVall on synthetic marijuana legislation, legislation to limit law enforcement’s ability to use unmarked cars, arguing that the incumbent “stood up for drug dealers,” said he wasn’t sufficiently pro-life, and complained about a vote against mandatory liability insurance for nursing homes.
Here is the direct quote from Franks: “Over the past four years we have had somebody that has not stood up for Mississippi values, but somebody who has stood up for the values of some other state like California.”

I don’t know what is more interesting (for lack of better word), the state party chairman challenging a member of his own party in a primary or a state party chairman just unleashing on a member of his own party. As far as I know, Franks is still chairman of the Democratic Party; something else that is amazing given the circumstances.
I also read where Franks is a supprter of the socialist healthcare bill. I can’t stand Duvall nor Franks. Franks, on the other hand, is a statist. More power from state and local govt to interfere with our lives. A vote for either one is a vote for the Obama statist agenda. Franks is a spoiled little baby and Duvall is a clueless moron. At least one of them supports individual rights every now and then. That is Duvall. Franks was a vocal supporter of Obama. Never heard any vocal public accolades for Obama coming from Duvall (although he has inferred it in private email responses to me). I will hold my nose and vote for Duvall, but that will be the only time I vote for him. I will NOT vote for Jamie Franks.
Someone needs to ask Jamie Franks why he’s sueing an entire school district over something personal! I agree, Jamie Franks is a spoiled brat who did nothing more then sit on the coat tails of Steve Holland when he was in office. He cares nothing about our schools…he’s too quick to sue entire school districts rather than just holding the sole person responsible. Don’t be fooled! Jamie Franks is a snake!
I’m not voting for either one. Boyd has my vote. Not voting in the Democratic primary. I think folks are sick and tired of Democrats anyway. Obama ran on the “Change”….Hows that change working now?????????
